Spring Forage & Ferment Wild Garlic Festival All Day
Bare Health, Congleton
Sunday March 29th 10am – 4pm

Wild Garlic is part of our wild history, used as far back as the Stone Age. Quite often it is a sign of ancient woodlands, and growing in special and magical spaces. Part of the reemergence from Winter into Spring means heading out to these lovely places to find carpets of green, with a scent of garlic, maybe dotted with white flowers in amongst the spread, there we gather some Wild garlic and to take back to create some wonderful flavoursome foods. Over many years Emma has brought family and friends into the woods to gather these delicious leaves just like our ancestors did.

Join Emma and Mel at Bare health to celebrate and explore ways to savour and enjoy the Wild garlic season sustainably and safely.
We will head out for a local forage for wild garlic and other spring seasonal greens for 2 hours, come back and enjoy a seasonal wild garlic and spring green lunch together show casing all that is possible and explore through a hands on workshop 2 ways to preserve our wild garlic harvest. One way being a lacto fermented wild garlic. We will look at other ways from making cultured butter, salts, pickles, crackers, miso, pesto and how to enjoy the plant throughout the season!

We look forward to seeing you there!
